The Jeweled Shillelagh
The Jeweled Shillelagh is the Gaelic Hammer awarded annually to the winner of this historic rivalry. The Shillelagh was introduced in 1952 by the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Los Angeles. After every game between ND and USC, the winning team places their logo on the Shillelagh. Notre Dame currently leads the series 49-36 with five ties. USC has owned the seried in recent time winning their last meeting 49-14.
